Come visit a Historic White Pine! The White Pine (Pinus stobus), located in the Historic Section, has been included in the Big and Heritage Tree Registry. This tree has been classified as a Signature Tree and is the 4th largest of its species in the State of New Jersey, the largest in Bergen County! The New Jersey Forest Service has dated the tree to be 260 years old. Come visit this Signature Tree and touch a piece of living history! New Columbarium Just Arrived! Redeemer Cemetery just added a new columbarium to our grounds on August 1, 2023. This 48-niche double-sided unit is a beautiful light grey/ mahogany brown combination and is a work of art in itself! Each niche can accommodate two standard cremains containers. Price per niche is $3,700.00 which includes free engraving of the granite faceplate. We expect the two top rows to sell out quickly as they are eye-level and are the first to sell out. Please schedule an appointment at 201-818-1222 to visit and purchase your niche while upper levels are still available. New Expansion of the Roadway In 2022, Redeemer Cemetery began the expansion our inner roadway system to better accommodate our families with access to Section G and the future Sections H & I. This year-long project came to completion in November of 2022 with many thanks to A&H Tree Service and Peter Englishman and Sons paving. With a cost of almost $50,000, this project not only shows our commitment to our families but also to the future of our cemetery. Redeemer Cemetery continues to be a source of peace and compassion while increasing our accessibility to our families of loved ones who are in our care. Private Mausoleum Available (SOLD! A new pre-need mausoleum coming soon!) Redeemer Cemetery now offers a pre-need above ground private mausoleum in a beautiful mahogany granite color. (Please Note: Construction of a private mausoleum can take as long as six months to one year. We suggest that private mausoleums be purchased in advance of need due to the time constraints). Easter Sunrise Service at Redeemer Cemetery has been scheduled for Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 6:30 AM. The service will be led by Rev. Dr. Michael Linderman of The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Ramsey, by the large pine tree. Please join us for this uplifting service. Redeemer Cemetery recently opened Section "G". One, two, three and four grave plots are available and allow for upright headstones as well as slant and flush markers. Please contact the cemetery for more information on any of these topics at 201-818-1222. |
